I PRIMI CAROSELLI FINALMENTE!

THE FIRST CAROSELLOS AT LAST!

With about ten days' delay in regard to the previous years, yesterday afternoon my family and I ate the first two carosellos: one Round Massafra and one Polisello.

The Carosello Round Massafra is similar, but not identical, to the Carosello Round Massafrese (see here), cultivated last year. Anyway, it's true that they are sometimes inclined to get confused with each other.

The Carosello Polisello grew a little crooked.

The Carosello Round Massafra is well-known in my family and it's always been appreciated, but I must admit that the Polisello had a warm welcome yesterday. The former has a very soft texture; the latter is somewhat crunchy.
